Rofl. I'll probably try this once I reinstall GW. What are average times using heroes at the beginning?

Build works just fine. I personally used fire attunement and my trusty scythe. First run got 6 ectos. GG.

I loved doing the A/E Plains farm before the first nerf to SF (when it had no damage reduction), can't wait to try this out.

Heh, I love the complaints from the people who clearly never did one of the pre-SF ecto farms.
Build works well. It's not the fastest thing ever, but it really is kind of fun. Will be doing it a bit more often.

I don't have anything against posting builds for sin lovers, but in the wake of nerf we should continue working on figuring out the "best" build. In that vein - can't the obvious Obs Flesh ele variant with /me emanage do this a lot better?

I have no idea if this is the fastest or not, I'm just saying it works, and it's really really really easy to do xD.
But if you do want to try an obby flesh ele, I'm sure it'll work, and maybe be faster than the sin. Who knows? maybe it'll be better? nothing is set in stone right now so feel free to test it all out.
I'm thinking GoS/OF/Mantra of Earth/Stone striker/A bunch of fire skills since you have the atts? Or maybe even /D and use a scythe xD

Ok, nice attempt and not bad for those dying to cling on to SF, but spirit spammer makes things a lot easier and possible to farm more areas, even after adjustment to SoS. Guess this will be used and improved, so good luck all...

Problem with OF is that you can't attack. So bassically you need aggro to beable to maintain energy, and that being through either mantra of earth+stone striker or Essence/Balth Spirit. And so your succeptible to interrupts aka no mantra of resolve which is kinda needed for OF.
Just my thoughts

if you want to some team work in uw bring a couple friends; nuker healer an SoS we all got 6-8 ectos after clearing pits, planes pools, and smites took 1 hour and a bit was very slow but very fun.
fastes I can solo is about 28mins.

A/Rt with Destruction actually works pretty well, especially in Chamber. Getting out was much faster. Plains is still a bit slow, but here's the build I tried. If nothing else, it's a bit more unique and it works.
1. Deadly Paradox
2. Shadow Form
3. Shroud of Distress
4. Splinter Weapon
5. Nightmare Weapon (for finishing the last of a group)
6. Destruction
7. Unseen Fury
8. Dash
Very easy, if slow, run. But the concept is there. Spread damage from Splinter, 150 armor ignoring damage from Destruction every 20 seconds, and Nightmare Weapon to essentially bypass the 26 damage limit.

Can somebody please post a video with this. I am really a noob into the UW (don't blame me xD) and I only farmed there with an SoS rit for ecto's at the start and chamber. Is this Chaos Plains farm more effective? How much ecto's does it give on an average run? Just curious ^^
I'd really like to try this, but I don't know anything of the way and how and what. So a video would help me a billion times! =]
I heard quite some things about the original version of this build, so I'd love to try out this one.

For those who wonder about chaos plains and ectos - i believe if you can find out the total number of mindblades that spawn there ( think over 100 and was mentioned somewhere in a diff post a while ago ) its the one area with the highest chance of ecto drops but only due to high number of ecto foes.
Also which i find amusing - smites who are the most popular quick solo farm ( or was pre nerf ) have a lower drop rate than aatxes .

Which is why before Shadow Form was "discovered" I solo'd the Chamber and Unwanted Guests for all of my earthly riches .

I used this build for the first time today. It is super easy. Used heroes to clear the way to the mountains. Zealous scythe for energy is (more than) enough. I had alot of scatter though, but some of it was because I didn't have the mindblades balled right.
It's quite slow, but certainly do-able. It took me an hour to clear the plains (skipping all the groups with skeletons near them). I was takin it slow, and didn't do the balling up right most of the time.
I got 7 ecto's though

You can speed it up by dropping nukes repeatedly. Sit on your scythe and spam on recharge. Fire attune in optional is good. Don't worry about trying to prevent scatter, just reball them along an edge once they do break.
